KIM & SCOTT

Kim and Scott Naslund of Seventh Freedom.

SEVENTH FREEDOM, edgy, charismatic rock artists with a flair for creating unusual song styles, was founded by husband and wife vocalists, Scott and Kim Naslund, in Agoura Hills, California.  Kim's bluesy, country rock style blended with Scott's rock 'n roll and hard rock style, present diverse and entertaining performances of both original and popular cover songs.

As songwriter, their lyrics and melodies are filled with catchy phrases and beats that music lovers will draw fans from all age groups.

Kim started singing at the age of nine in her church choir in Memphis, Tennessee; she was a member of the Memphis City Schools' Orff Music Choir, and later, was a member of a local singing group, Blue-Eyed Soul.  After moving to California, she was a background singer for a local indie rock band.

Scott, a native Californian, fulfilled his love for writing songs and singing thru weekend jam sessions with some local musicians, which were later joined by Kim.  However, Scott and Kim decided singing together in weekend gatherings did not satisfy that burning desire they had to perform before live audiences, so they founded SEVENTH FREEDOM, and have performed at venues such as the world famous Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California, and Peter Strauss Ranch in Agoura Hills.

Their goals are to record their music and perform before national and international audiences.  Some of Kim's original songs (written with R. Michael and Josh Chapman) are: Silence, Check, Lovin It, and Take Me As I Am.  Scott's songs (written with Marek Lisiak of Wild Ride Band) are: You Got Me Running, Son Of A Gun, and Ready To Ride.

Some of their influences are Jack White, The Rolling Stones, and Grace Potter and The Nocturnals.

This band is accompanied by the unique sounds from a harmonica player weaving through two lead guitarists and a saxophone player, intricately producing infectious rhythms coupled with bass and drums that drive home the powerful sound of Seventh Freedom.
